What is Thalliki Vandanam?
Andhra Pradesh’s Thalliki Vandanam is an education-support initiative intended to encourage enrolment, retention and continuity in education by providing financial assistance to eligible mothers/guardians for children studying from Class I to Class XII, including Intermediate Education. The 2026-27 continuation is covered by G.O.Ms.No.15 dated 16 July 2026.

Why ₹2,000 is Deducted?
Under the government orders, ₹2,000 per student is deducted at source from the ₹15,000 assistance and used for the educational ecosystem, including school/Junior College maintenance, hygiene and sanitation and other purposes specified by the School Education Department. Therefore, the beneficiary’s bank credit can be ₹13,000 when the full ₹15,000 assistance is sanctioned.
